Made for the RC Everyday Rat Rod, is our leaf sprung radius arm front suspension. Designed for that period correct look it features a drop I-beam front axle, with speed holes. Double wishbone radius arms. A single leaf spring is all that is needed to hold up and locate the axle. The printed (PA12-HP Nylon) spring mount has shock towers to mount a more scale size 1/24 shock (39mm length). If you don’t want the shocks you can simply cut the towers off with some flush cutters. It’s made for the steering links (bend them yourself) to go behind and under the axle but the spindles can be reversed to mount it in front. The design of the spindle will also allow for a push/pull style steering. The pictures show roughly how it’s designed to be assembled. I’m working on a build video.
TIPS
Leaf spring - I suggest building the leaf spring mount, spring, shackles and radius arm spring mounts as a separate assembly before mounting to the chassis.
Radius arms - start the m2 grub screws into the radius arms a few turns. Then start the plastic rod ends and tighten from there. Make sure to use the straight rod ends here.
Depending on your setup extra spacers and hardware may be necessary to suit your setup.
If extra springs are needed they are WPL 1/16 springs.
Drag link will need half of the threads cut off and bent to suit your setup. M2 all thread can be used for custom setups.
